Gebrüder Weiss ensures the timely delivery of Smyths Toys' Christmas stock across southern Germany and Austria. In the highly automated warehouse in Wallersdorf near Straubing, preparations for the festive period commence eight weeks in advance, with plans to serve 26 locations by 2026.
Up to 20 trucks depart daily from the nearby Straubing logistics terminal, totalling around 380 vehicles per month, to deliver toys promptly to stores. Precise planning and flexible vehicle use, including smaller delivery vehicles for footpath zones and hard-to-reach shops, guarantee reliable supply. Close collaboration and early organisation ensure the Christmas peak runs smoothly.
