Arkas secures $ 335 m syndicated loan

Arkas Holding has obtained a $ 335 m syndicated loan, led by IFC, to boost investments in transport and logistics infrastructure. The first tranche of $ 260.3 m has been disbursed, with further funding expected soon, involving international financial institutions like Emirates NBD and ILX Fund.
The funds will support Arkas's sustainable operations, port infrastructure expansion and intermodal transport fleet development, including refinancing existing loans to enable long-term projects. Arkas chairman Lucien Arkas emphasised that the financing strengthens Türkiye's role as a key east-west strategic bridge, enhancing the middle corridor's efficiency and positioning the country prominently in global trade. IFC regional head Laura Vecvagare highlighted the importance of the partnership in modernising Türkiye's transport network, supporting economic growth and unlocking the full potential of the middle corridor.
