Tuñón to strengthen IAPH in Latin America
The International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) has appointed Guimara Tuñón Guerra as development director for Central and South America.
In this new role she’ll drive regional engagement and expand membership in key port communities. Tuñón, who served as IAPH’s regional vice-president from 2017 to 2019, brings more than two decades of experience in public and private maritime institutions. She held senior positions at the Panama Maritime Authority and represented Panama at the IMO and OAS.
Today she’s the CEO of Panama’s Maritime Policy Bureau and dean at the Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua, in Panama City.
