RheinCargo to manage crane handling

RheinCargo will be in charge of crane operations at a new Strabag site in the inland port of Neuss (Germany).
The two firms have agreed to long-term cooperation at a 13,000 m² area, which Strabag has leased from RheinCargo at the hub’s basin 4. The facility was officially opened in the presence of Neuss mayor Reiner Breuer recently.
Strabag’s concept centres on analysing mineral resource flows to produce high-quality recycled construction materials. It can process 250,000 t of building and raw materials annually.
Thanks to trimodal operations the site enables efficient transport by inland vessel, railfreight and truck, easing the burden on local road infrastructure.
RheinCargo also considers the partnership to be a strong signal for circular economy logistics.
