Swiss WorldCargo and Fiege Air Cargo Logistics have launched a partnership to enhance mail handling at Zurich airport.

The collaboration, officially inaugurated on 3 March with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, aims to improve the efficiency and reliability of Swiss’s mail services.

With extended opening hours from 05:00 to 21:00 CET daily and a redesigned operational set-up, import mail arriving before 17:00 CET can now be processed for same-day onward transport in Europe or on late-evening intercontinental flights. The new facility, operated by Fiege, supports faster transit and greater flexibility.

Alain Chisari, the head of Swiss WorldCargo, called the partnership “a new opportunity to deliver greater value to our customers.” Fiege’s Benjamin Looser added that “we’re proud to jointly develop mail handling and create added value through automation and digitalisation.” (ah)
