Scandlines reported solid 2024 results with EUR 465 million in revenue and EUR 125 million in pre-tax profit. The ferry operator transported over 700,000 freight units on its Puttgarden–Rødby and Rostock–Gedser routes.
Key investments included EUR 42 million for sustainability and efficiency, such as a zero-emissions freight ferry set to launch in 2025 and hybrid upgrades to two vessels. Scandlines also expanded digital tools for smoother booking and port operations.
CEO Eric Grégoire emphasised innovation and green logistics as drivers for future growth. The company expects moderate cargo growth in 2025 supported by infrastructure and fleet improvements. (ah)
