Renewable supply for warehouses
CTP, owner and developer of logistics and industrial real estate, has entered an energy partnership with node.energy to drive forward sustainable power solutions in the logistics sector. CTP aims to supply 90% of its properties with renewable energy by 2030, primarily through rooftop solar systems.
In case of fluctuating solar output, CTP will source electricity from local wind energy producers like Windpark.eu. The partnership also enables CTP to sell surplus energy on the spot market. "The partnership with node.energy enables us to become a pioneer in the field of energy in the logistics property market", said Thomas Gooßens, Head of Energy Business at CTP Germany. He sees great potential for logistics facilities in terms of energy. (js)
