Liège airport rolls out 'LGG Tracking'
Liège airport (LGG), ranked fifth in Europe and Belgium’s leading cargo hub, has launched 'LGG Tracking' as part of its wider 'Cargoland' digitalisation programme.
Developed with technology provider NSI, the platform provides a single source of truth for all shipments, offering real-time status updates, contextual messaging linked to air waybills and automated customs clearance.
"LGG Tracking is the culmination of a collaborative effort and the foundation for our digital twin vision," said Frederic Brun (right), head of commercial cargo and logistics. Torsten Wefers (left), vice-president in charge of sales and marketing, added that "this cross-pollination of ideas ensures each solution meets the real-world needs of every stakeholder."
More than 30 projects are underway, with over 100 stakeholders involved in shaping LGG’s digital twin. (ah)
