Leadership transition in Lithuania

The Girteka Group recently carried out a leadership change on 2 April. Edvardas Liachovičius (pictured), long-standing board member and former CEO of Girteka Logistics, became the CEO of the Lithuanian transport group, succeeding Jeroen Eijsink, who stepped down for personal reasons after two years leading the company. He’ll remain on board as a strategic advisor.
“We’ll continue to invest in long-term partnerships, digitalisation and operational excellence, in order to ensure sustainable growth,” Liachovičius said. Girteka, Europe’s largest asset-based road transport firm, operates 6,000 trucks and 7,000 trailers and specialises in high-value and temperature-controlled cargo. (ah)
