Hannibal links Melzo and Moerdijk

Contship’s multimodal operator Hannibal has started a new intermodal service by A2B-online, a logistics provider for containers and trailers. The new connection links Melzo (Italy) with Moerdijk (Netherlands), initially with three weekly circulations.
The company plans to increase service to four round trips in April. Rail traction in Italy will be operated by Contship affiliate Oceanogate. The Moerdijk terminal is located in a port boasting more than 40 km of roads and 35 km of railtracks; it secures further connections to the UK.
For the new service, A2B-online works together with LTE Netherlands for rail traction. (ben)
