GW delivers solar racing logistics

The 'aCentauri Solar Racing Team' of ETH Zurich secured 11th place in the Challenger category at the World Solar Challenge 2025. The students covered the 3,000 km route from Darwin to Adelaide in six days under demanding winter conditions. Logistics partner Gebrüder Weiss ensured smooth transport and preparation, delivering the solar car and equipment to Australia in time for training as the company reported.
During the race, the team faced cooler temperatures, lower light levels and a technical setback when the cruise control failed and a wind gust damaged a wheel fairing. According to Gebrüder Weiss both issues were repaired quickly, allowing the car to continue. After the finish in Adelaide, Gebrüder Weiss is also handling the return transport to Zurich via sea freight and customs clearance. (js)
