From US kennels to European cargo

Global K9 (GK9), a leading US provider of air cargo security solutions, has entered a strategic partnership with Dutch screening company Het Twickelerveld Cargo Screening. Based in Middenbeemster, Het Twickelerveld has specialised in canine-based cargo security since 2005.
The move builds on GK9’s European expansion, which began with the acquisition of UK-based Dog Detectives at the end of 2024. "By combining our proven detection services with Het Twickelerveld’s local expertise, we aim to replicate our successful US operations in Europe," said Eric Hare (pictured), founder and CEO of GK9.
The alliance will cover canine screening, X-ray, explosive trace detection and authorised representative services. "This partnership allows us to strengthen our offer in the air cargo sector and bring mutual benefits to our clients," added Het Twickelerveld CEO Martin Lipsius. (ah)
