FedEx Swiss Post opens Gossau hub

FedEx express Swiss Post, the joint venture between FedEx Express and Swiss Post, has opened its new logistics facility in Gossau, St. Gallen, after about a year of construction. Following the 2023 opening in Dällikon, this marks another investment in Swiss logistics infrastructure. The new site aims to strengthen FedEx Express Swiss Post’s presence in Eastern Switzerland and Liechtenstein, consolidating operations previously spread across Wängi and Münchwilen.
Around 35 employees and ten partner couriers now operate in a 14,500 m² facility featuring a 3,600 m² parcel hall and 400 m² of office space. Equipped with three truck docks and 40 van bays, the hub offers 30% higher sorting capacity according to FedEx. A 3,400 m² rooftop solar array provides 730.8 kW/h, and electric van charging stations further support sustainability efforts. (js)
