Expanding its networks and capacities
South Carolina Ports will grow its weekly service offerings from 25 to 29 in April, expanding connectivity between Charleston and key global markets.
Among the new additions are two first calls from Asia, including the MSC/Zim Emerald/ZXB loop, which offers the fastest transit times from Vietnam to the South Atlantic. Three additional first calls from Europe will further strengthen Charleston’s role in regional supply chains. A new MSC service will link Turkey and Israel directly to Charleston.
With deepwater access (nearly 16 m), no tidal restrictions and efficient terminal operations, SC Ports offers shippers speed and flexibility. In February, volumes rose by 11% year-on-year to 225,532 teu, with the inland port of Greer recording its second-best month ever.
SC Ports plans to support future growth in booming southeastern USA with 10 million teu capacity and an expanded rail network. (ah)
