DHL acquires Cryopdp

The DHL Group has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of Cryopdp, a special courier service by Cryoport that serves clinical trials and biopharma and the cell and gene therapy sectors.
The move strengthens DHL’s capabilities in temperature-controlled logistics and supports its ‘Strategy 2030’ goal to lead in life sciences and healthcare logistics, as the company has reported.
Cryopdp, which handles 600,000 shipments annually in 135 countries, will become part of DHL Supply Chain’s pharma-specialised network.
DHL and Cryoport have also formed a strategic partnership to expand services for healthcare clients. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval.
