Deufol strengthens project logistics team

Deufol has appointed Holger Dechant as its vice-president of the hub network and project solutions, effective today, 1 September.
With more than 30 years in heavylift and project forwarding, Dechant will expand Deufol’s role in project logistics by developing its hub network, setting standards in heavy transport management and driving digital solutions.
He began his career in 1999 and went on to lead several subsidiaries of Universal Transport, Germany’s largest heavy haulage forwarder, managing 750 staff and revenues of around EUR 200 million. Since 2022 he has been managing director under Gruber Logistics.
At Deufol, Dechant is expected to strengthen the group’s end-to-end strategy, adding bespoke heavylift and project logistics services to its existing packaging and supply chain portfolio. "The demand for tailored solutions in energy, infrastructure and industry is growing worldwide," said CEO Dennis Hübner, underlining the company’s ambitions in this sector. (ah)
