BELog Baustoffe-Entsorgung-Logistik is strengthening its fleet with a fourth EuroDual locomotive from European Loc Pool.

The dual-mode locomotive offers 6.2 MW electric and additional diesel power. The locs can “switch between electric and diesel operation”, as the company stated.

It will serve routes across central and southern Germany, transporting construction materials. According to BELog managing director Timo Pape, the EuroDual allows up to 35% more freight per train, cutting around 30 truck journeys and reducing CO₂ emissions. With ELP’s full-service leasing model, BELog benefits from maintenance and servicing.

“Compared to our older vehicles, it is significantly more reliable and requires less maintenance,” added Pape. (js)
