Aurora’s driverless truck service

Aurora Innovation has launched the first commercial self-driving trucking service in the USA, deploying autonomous class 8 trucks on regular customer routes between Dallas and Houston.
The Aurora Driver has completed over 1,200 driverless miles and is slated to expand to El Paso and Phoenix by year-end. The service's launch customers are Uber Freight and Hirschbach Motor Lines.
Aurora’s self-driving system combines AI with redundant safety systems and was cleared for operation after closing its safety case.
