21,000 t weekly capacity to 25 gateways
Dubai-based Emirates SkyCargo has expanded its East and Southeast Asian network to 25 gateways in twelve countries and territories, offering over 21,000 t of weekly capacities.
The addition of passenger flights to Hangzhou (China) complements 44 weekly freighter services to nine gateways, 13 charters and 311 passenger flights. This creates the densest freighter schedule in the airline’s network, with departures from the region about every 30 minutes.
Cargo flows include perishables, pharmaceuticals, electronics, garments and over 1,300 t of e-commerce each week. A strategic partnership with Teleport, Air Asia’s cargo arm, adds access to more than 100 regional airports, enhancing links between Southeast Asia and markets in Europe, the USA, and Canada.
Emirates also supports China’s 'One Belt, One Road' initiative with connections to over 50 participating countries. (ah)
